Brown, UN Resident Coordinator Rastislav Vrbensky and Head of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Office for Serbia and Montenegro Henri-Giscard Bohnet.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<em>SEECOM gains momentum and grows into region\u2019s first professional association for public sector communications<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"entry-title post-title\">2<sup>nd<\/sup> South Eastern European Government Communications Conference<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7\" style=\"width: 554px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7\" src=\"https:\/\/seecom.info\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/slider-1-1024x640.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"554\" height=\"350\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-7\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Participants of the 2nd South East European Government Communications Conference, Budva, Montenegro, September 2013<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gov.me\/en\/SEECOM2013\">2<sup>nd<\/sup> South Eastern European Government Communication Conference<\/a> (SEECOM2013) took place in Budva, Montenegro, on 27-29 September 2013, bringing together top government communicators from 13 countries of the region.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to government communicators from the region, the conference participants included senior government officials, international dignitaries and prominent government communication experts from Europe and the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The variety of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gov.me\/en\/SEECOM2013\/Agenda\/\">conference topics<\/a> included government communications as public service, optimising public communication resources, using modern technology to improve two-way communication and encourage citizen participation, social media, communicating EU affairs, effective presentation of policies, and regional cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>The conference adopted the Statute of SEECOM, <b><i>establishing SEECOM a non-for-profit professional association of public sector communicators in South East Europe<\/i><\/b>, based in Budva, Montenegro.<\/p>\n<p>SEECOM2013 was organised by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gov.me\/en\">Government of Montenegro<\/a>, in cooperation with the <a href=\"http:\/\/podgorica.usembassy.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">US Embassy in Podgorica<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kas.de\/medien-europa\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Media Programme South East Europe<\/a>,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rcc.int\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Regional Cooperation Council (RCC)<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.me.undp.org\/montenegro\/en\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNDP Montenegro<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221;
